Interview with Ralf Pfitzner, Head of Sustainability, Volkswagen, at World Climate Summit 2022

Volkswagen Group is a Principal Partner of the World Climate Foundation. At World Climate Summit - The Investment COP 2022, Ralf Pfitzner, Head of Sustainability at the Volkswagen Group, was a speaker at Opening Session “From Glasgow to Sharm El Sheikh - Tracking Progress on Implementation towards Net Zero”.


In this video interview, Ralf Pfitzner introduces the sustainability agenda of the company to reach net-zero emissions by 2050 and highlights the World Climate Summit networking opportunities.

Ralf Pfitzner leads the sustainability department of Volkswagen AG. His responsibilities include the global governance for sustainability at the Volkswagen Group and its brands. Among others, he leads Volkswagen’s ambitious decarbonisation program. His responsibilities cover an integration of sustainability in the “Together Strategy 2025+”, setup and implementation of group-wide programs, sustainability reporting, stakeholder engagement, ESG ratings etc. Furthermore, he is in charge of managing Volkswagen’s Sustainability Council consisting of independent experts advising the Managing Board of Volkswagen.
